THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

Agreement for Grant of Easement (Right of Way) in Favour of Graham Brothers Limited, a Duly Incorporated Private Company Having its Registered Office at Waiho, Over Land Situated in Block XI, Waiho Survey District, Taken for a Tourist and Health Resort, Assented to

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 3rd day of December 1947 and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th day of the same month, at page 1857, areas of land containing 500 acres, being Section 2197, Block XI, Waiho Survey District, and 9 acres 2 roods 11-1 perches, being part Section 3114 and part Section 3118, Block XI, Waiho Survey District, were taken for a Tourist and Health Resort:

And whereas by the same Proclamation and for the same purpose leasehold estates were taken in areas of land containing 35-8 perches, being Section 21, Town of Waiho Gorge, and 286 acres, being Section 2199, Block XI, Waiho Survey District:

And whereas Graham Brothers Limited, a duly incorporated private company, having its registered office at Waiho, is entitled to compensation for its freehold and leasehold estates and interests in the said land;

And whereas the Minister of Works agreed to grant to the said Graham Brothers Limited, a right of way over part of the said area of 9 acres 2 roods 11-1 perches, being part Section 3114 and part Section 3118, Block XI, Waiho Survey District, in part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid and to provide a sum of money in satisfaction of the residue of the said compensation:

And whereas the said Graham Brothers Limited, has agreed to accept such grant of easement and such sum of money in full satisfaction of the said compensation:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928 that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Withdrawal of Dangerous Drugs Prohibition in Respect of Registered Medical Practitioner

PURSUANT to the Dangerous Drugs Act 1927, I, John Ross Marshall, Minister of Health, acting on the recommendation of the Medical Council, do hereby withdraw the prohibition published in the Gazette on the 17th day of April 1941, on page 981, whereby James Collins, Registered Medical Practitioner, of Wellington, was prohibited from issuing prescriptions for the dispensing of dangerous drugs.

Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor Spirit

J. S. Woollaston, Main Road, Mapua, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump to be installed on service-station and garage premises at Main Road, Mapua.

J. G. Hartley, Broadlands Road, Broadlands, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump to be installed on store and garage premises at Broadlands Road, Broadlands, and also otherwise than through pumps from the same premises.

C. D. Bocock, Te Mawhai, via Kihikihi, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump to be installed on store premises at Te Mawhai, via Kihikihi.

Rural Aviation Ltd., Bell Block Aerodrome, New Plymouth, has applied for a licence to resell aviation and motor spirit from four pumps to be installed at aircraft-operating premises at Bell Block Aerodrome, New Plymouth, sales to be restricted to aircraft only.

J. C. Law, East Street, Ashburton, has applied for permission to take over motor-spirits retail licence for five pumps of Ashburton Motors Ltd., and move the retail selling point from Ashburton Motors Ltd.’s premises, Tancered Street, Ashburton, to proposed garage and service station on corner of North East and East Streets, Ashburton.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 28 October 1954, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 2492, Wellington.

Administration of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the Waitaki County (Notice No. Ag. 5747)

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, the Director-General of Agriculture hereby publishes the following resolution passed by the Waitaki County Council on the 24th day of September 1954.

RESOLUTION

THAT, pursuant to the provisions of section 22 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Waitaki County Council assumes responsibility for the administration of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 within the County of Waitaki as from 24 September 1954.
