Appointment of Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices by Telegraph
Pursuant to section 183 of the Post and Telegraph Act 1928, the Minister of Telegraphs hereby declares that the officers whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto are authorized to sign certificates of the service of telegraphic copies of notices for the purposes of sections 179 to 184 of that Act, and hereby appoints those officers to be transmitting officers and receiving officers, at the addresses specified after their names in the Schedule hereto, for the purposes of those sections and of the regulations for the time being in force under that Act relating to the service of notices by telegraph.*

Revoking Appointment of and Appointing Licensing Authorities for Issue of Heavy Traffic Licences
Pursuant to subclause (2) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1950,* the Minister of Transport hereby revokes those parts of Warrants dated 2 May 1954†, 19 May 1954†, and 30 June 1954§ appointing the local authorities described in Column 1 of the first Schedule as the Licensing Authorities for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the districts of the local authorities and for such areas as are described in Column 2 of the First Schedule hereto, and hereby appoints the local authorities described in Column 1 of the Second Schedule attached hereto to be the Licensing Authorities for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the district of the respective local authority and for such area or other areas as are described in Column 2 of the Second Schedule opposite the respective name of said local authority.
Provided that the Commissioner of Transport shall be the Licensing Authority in the case of all heavy motor vehicles owned by the Crown.

Appointment of Honorary Fishery Officer
Pursuant to section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1946, the Minister of Marine hereby appoints John Balloch, of Foxton, to be an Honorary Fishery Officer for the purposes of Part I of the Fisheries Act 1908, such person to hold office until the 31st day of March 1956.

Trustee of Sandon Public Park Appointed
Pursuant to section 2 of the Sandon Public Park Management Act 1875, Province of Wellington, Session 28, No. 6, and subsection 2 of section 29 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1924, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Keith Leroy Henson to be a trustee of the Sandon Public Park in place of Maurice Ben Prisk, resigned, to act in conjunction with Rex Willoughby Pearce, Jack Mabey Harris, Ernest Nelson Butler, and Jack Cameron Fagan, previously appointed.
