It is hereby notified that the orders of adoption as set out in the Schedule hereunder have been made by the Maori Land Court under the provisions of the Maori Land Act 1931.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor Spirit
J. R. Annan, Pukekawa, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump to be installed on proposed garage premises on the corner of the Tuakau-Glen Murray Highway at Pukekawa.
J. H. Walker, Tikipunga, Whangarei, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Tikipunga, Whangarei.
A. P. Mason, 146–148 Nelson Street, Auckland City, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from two pumps to be installed outside garage and lubricitorium premises at 146–148 Nelson Street, Auckland.
Andrew Sharpe, Ltd., Tawanui, Clutha County, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump already installed at sawmill premises at Tawanui, Clutha County.
Cudby’s Garage, Ltd., 503 Heretaunga Street, Hastings, has applied for permission to change the retail selling point of one pump from its present position to proposed new premises directly opposite in Heretaunga Street, Hastings.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 4 February 1954, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. Sale of Unclaimed Property
It is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the police at Auckland, Hamilton, Gisborne, Palmerston North, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Timaru, and Invercargill stations will, if not claimed before Saturday, 6 February 1954, be sold thereafter by public auction.
Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be obtained from the Superintendent or Inspector of Police in charge of the District.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the Borough of Hastings (Notice No. Ag. 5568)
Pursuant to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Hastings Borough Council on the 24th day of April 1952.
SPECIAL ORDER
In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Hastings Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto be declared noxious weeds within the Borough of Hastings.

Californian thistle, Canadian thistle, or creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense).
