In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter
of Whangarei Sand Supplies Limited.

NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand dated the 6th day of August 1954
confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named
company from £15,000 to £12,000, and the minute approved
by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the
company as altered the several particulars required by the
above-mentioned Act, was registered by the Registrar of
Companies on the 13th day of September 1954. The said
minute is in the words and figures following:

“The capital of the company is reduced from £15,000 in
15,000 shares of £1 each to £12,000 in 12,000 shares of £1
each, all fully paid, by the cancellation of 3,000 shares
numbered 12,001 to 15,000 (both inclusive).”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and
the Public Works Act 1928, and their respective amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Gisborne Borough Council
proposes to execute a certain public work (namely, a
civic centre), and for the purposes of such public work the
land described in the Schedule is required to be taken; and
notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so
required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Town
Clerk to the said Council, Council Chambers, Reads Quay,
Gisborne, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all
persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land who have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said land must state their objections
in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the
first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the
Council Chambers, Reads Quay, Gisborne.

APPROXIMATE area of land required to be taken: 1 rood.

Description of land: Lot 2 on a plan deposited in the

WOODVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan 1954, £3,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Woodville
Borough Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purposes of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000),
authorized to be raised by the Woodville Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of a staff

dwelling, the said Woodville Borough Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of seventy-six hundredths of a penny
(76/100d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of
the Woodville Borough (comprising the whole of the Borough
of Woodville), and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-
yearly on the 15th day of June and the 15th day of December
in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.”
