In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Hokianga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work (namely, for a road) and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public offices of the County Clerk to the said Council, situated in Parnell Street, Rawene, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the County Chambers, Parnell Street, Rawene.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD IN BLOCKS VII AND IX, JACOBS RIVER HUNDRED
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wallace County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to carry out certain road works, and that for that purpose the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Wallace County Council, at Otatau, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of such works or the taking of such lands should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the date of this notice (being the date of the first publication thereof), to the Wallace County Council, Otatau.

TARARUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Tararua Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £2,500 (to be known as Akitio Loan (No. 2) 1954), authorized to be raised by the Tararua Electric Power Board in New Zealand by special order under the above-mentioned Act, and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling, for the purpose of further reticulation in the Akitio County, the said Tararua Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0715d. (decimal nought seven one five of a penny) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in that portion of the rating area of the Tararua Electric Power District comprising the following special rating area (namely, the Akitio County as defined in the New Zealand Gazette No. 21 of 23 March 1922, and more particularly in the New Zealand Gazette No. 28 of 7 April 1938, at page 893); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Tararua Electric Power Board held in Pahiatua on the 17th day of September 1954, and is recorded in the minutes of its proceedings of that date, at page 1411.
