I, LESLIE ESTERMAN, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that as it has been made to appear to me that the undermentioned societies are no longer carrying on operations they are hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act 1908:

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CEASE TO HAVE A PLACE OF BUSINESS IN NEW ZEALAND

In the matter of section 338 of the Companies Act 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that on and after the 31st day of December 1954 it is the intention of Structural Processes (A’Asia.) Pty. Limited, a company incorporated in Australia and carrying on business at the National Bank Buildings, Fort Street, Auckland, to cease to have a place of business in the Dominion of New Zealand.

BOROUGH OF INGLEWOOD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

General Purposes Loan 1953, £16,200

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Inglewood Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £16,200, authorized to be raised by the Inglewood Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing Borough garage and workshop, kerbing and channelling and sealing streets, improving the swimming baths, and reconditioning the Town Hall seats, the said Inglewood Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourpence and five-eights of a penny (4½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Inglewood; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Drainage Extension Loan 1954, £250,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Act 1900 and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and of all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £250,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of extending the drainage system within the board’s district and to provide for pumping station and other ancillary works, the said Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·28788d. in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the board’s district comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin and the Borough of St. Kilda; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

HAMILTON CIVIC ORCHESTRA AND CHOIR INC.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Incorporated Societies Act 1908, and the Hamilton Civic Orchestra and Choir Inc. (in voluntary liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named society, duly convened and held on the 9th day of September 1954, the following special resolutions, duly passed at an annual general meeting held on the 4th day of August 1954, were confirmed:

‘‘1. That the society be wound up voluntarily.
‘‘2. That it is recommended that two separate societies be incorporated, one for the orchestra and the other for the choir.
‘‘3. That Mr Frank Wilfred Bloore, of Hamilton, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the society.’’
