Additional Land at Avoca Taken for the Purposes of the Midland Railway

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Midland railway.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 1 acre 31·8 perches.
Being part Reserve 1577.
Situated in Block XI, Grassmere Survey District, Tawera County. (S.O. 8707.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 12981, deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 1st day of September 1954.

Altering the Boundaries of the Opunake Electric Power District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the Opunake Electric Power District so as to include therein the area described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Taranaki Land District, being portion of the Taranaki County, bounded on the north by the Stony River, on the east by the boundary of the Egmont National Park, on the south by the boundary of the Egmont County, and on the west by the sea. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 302, and deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 27th day of August 1954.
