UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage and Stormwater Drainage Loans Amalgamated
Loan 1954 of £477,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £477,000, authorized to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewer drainage reticulation in the Borough and stormwater drainage in the Wallaceville and Upper Hutt areas, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourpence and eight hundred and thirty-eight thousandths of a penny (4·838d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at the ordinary meeting of the Upper Hutt Borough Council held in the Council Chambers, Main Road, Upper Hutt, on Tuesday, the 27th day of July 1954.

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Improvement Loan 1954

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the Streets Improvement Loan 1954 of £56,000, authorized to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of tar-sealing roads and footpaths and incidental improvements arising therefrom, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·5272d. in the pound upon the whole amount of unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Timaru; and such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fourteen years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

NOTICE is hereby given by Messrs N. BICKERTON and E. CAMERON that the partnership business of Men’s Outfitters and General Drapery, carried on by them at 433 Manukau Road, Epsom, and 122 Parnell Road, Parnell, under the name of Bickerton and Cameron, has been dissolved as from the 30th day of April 1954, and that Mr N. BICKERTON will continue to operate on his own account the business of Men’s Outfitters and General Drapery under the firm name of Bickerton and Cameron, at 122 Parnell Road, Parnell.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the following sections of an operative district scheme for the City of Napier (intituled as shown below) have, by virtue of section 19 (2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, become operative district schemes of the City within the meaning of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The dates shown below are those on which the schemes were finally approved by the Town Planning Board pursuant to the provisions of the Town Planning Act 1926 and the Town Planning Regulations 1927.

Napier Business Area Scheme 1931 23rd March 1932.
Marewa Scheme 30th November 1938.
Marewa No. 2 Scheme 29th March 1945.
Marewa No. 3 Scheme 14th September 1948.
Onekawa Scheme 14th September 1948.

The schemes may be inspected in the City Council’s offices at Tennyson Street, Napier, without fee, by every person who so requires, at any time when the Council’s offices are open to the public.

I, HENRY MICHAEL McELROY, Public Accountant, of Auckland, being the liquidator of Marshall and Hill Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, do hereby fix the 31st day of August 1954 as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims, and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.
