BOROUGH OF WAIROA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Supplementary Loan 1954, £2,500

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Wairoa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500), authorized to be raised by the Wairoa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and completing the purpose for which the Sewerage Additional Loan 1952, £25,000, was raised, the said Wairoa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one seven six pence (0·176d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Wairoa (comprising the whole of the Borough), and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the lst day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is paid off.’

WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 3 1954

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Waikato County Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Waikato County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of advancing money to farmers for the provision of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Waikato County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three one-hundredths of a penny (3/100d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Waikato; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’

The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Waikato County Council held on 20 July 1954.

Notice of Order Dispensing with Consents or Conditions of Amalgamation

NOTICE is hereby given that St. Matthew's Branch No. 82 branch of the New Zealand District of the Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society (Register No. 198/79), whose registered office is at Christchurch, desires to amalgamate with St. Patrick's Branch No. 82, of the New Zealand District of the Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society (Register No. 198/3); and that on the 28th day of August 1954 the trustees of the first-named branch intend to apply to the Registrar that the following consents and conditions prescribed by the Friendly Societies Act 1909 for an amalgamation may be dispensed with, namely:

(1) The assent of two-thirds in value of members.

(2) The written consent of every person for the time being receiving or entitled to any relief, annuity, or other benefits.

NOTICE is hereby given that St. Patrick's Branch No. 82 branch of the New Zealand District of the Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society (Register No. 198/3), whose registered office is at Christchurch, desires to amalgamate with St. Matthew's Branch branch of the New Zealand District of the Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society (Register No. 198/79); and that on the 28th day of August 1954 the trustees of the first-named branch intend to apply to the Registrar that the following consents and conditions prescribed by the Friendly Societies Act 1909 for an amalgamation may be dispensed with, namely:

NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and all other powers enabling it thereto, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of £80,000 authorized to be raised by the North Canterbury Electric Power Board under the provisions of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, and its amendments, for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the North Canterbury Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound on the rateable capital value of all rateable property of all portions of the Rangiora, Kowai, Eyre, Oxford, Ashley, Waipara, Cheviot, and Amuri Counties within the Board's district, such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’
