WAITEMATA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waitemata Electric Power Board Reticulation Extension Loan 1953, £200,000 (Balance £100,000)

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and amendments and regulations made thereunder, and all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Waitemata Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

‘That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £100,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitemata Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Acts in order to provide additional moneys for the purpose of the further reticulation of electric power within the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District, the Waitemata Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 13/200d. in the pound upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property within the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District, as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 18th day of October 1923, and altered by Proclamations appearing in the New Zealand Gazettes dated the 27th day of November 1924, the 26th day of August 1926, the 7th day of March 1929, and the 24th day of January 1935; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’

I hereby certify that the above resolution was carried at a meeting of the Waitemata Electric Power Board held on the 19th day of July 1954.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS LOAN 1954 OF £21,000

Resolution Making and Levying Special Rate

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest on a loan of £21,000, to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving, renewing, and extending various main sewers in the City of Wanganui and providing all material appliances and other matters and things necessary, expedient, or convenient for such purpose, the said Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.134 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries thereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 3rd day of June 1954, No. 35, at pages 950 and 951, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years from the date of the raising of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.’

The Common Seal of the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wanganui was hereto affixed this 14th day of July 1954, by order of the Wanganui City Council, by and in the presence of—

EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and all other Acts, powers, and authorities in that behalf enabling it, the Ekatahuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘That, for the purpose of providing for the charges (principal and interest) on a loan of one thousand three hundred pounds (£1,300), to be known as the Truck Loan 1954, authorized to be raised by the Ekatahuna Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts and the sanction of the Local Government Loans Board granted 30 March 1954 for the purchase of a three-ton truck with hoist, the said Ekatahuna Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and one farthing (2½d) in the pound (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable land in the Borough of Ekatahuna; and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven (7) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.’
