Re-defining Boundaries of the Borough of Oamaru, the County of Waitaki, and the Papakaio Riding of the County of Waitaki

P URSUANT to section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Oamaru, the County of Waitaki, and the Papakaio Riding of the County of Waitaki, the previous boundaries having been altered by Order in Council dated the 10th day of February 1954 and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 11 of the 11th day of February 1954.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF OAMARU

BOUNDARIES OF THE PAPAKAIO RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF WAITAKI

All that area in the Otago Land District and the County of Waitaki bounded by a line commencing at a point on the centre line of the Waitaki River due north of the eastern boundary of Block II, Awamoko Survey District; thence south-easterly down the centre line of the Waitaki River to the Pacific Ocean; thence south-westerly along the sea coast to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 11, Deeds Plan 237; thence generally north-westerly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of the Borough of Oamaru, hereinbefore described, to Oamaru Creek; thence generally north-westerly up the left bank of that creek to the southern boundary of Block I, Papakaio Survey District; thence westerly along that boundary to the western boundary of Papakaio Survey District; thence generally northerly along that boundary to the southern boundary of Block IV, Awamoko Survey District; thence westerly along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Section 5s, Pukenui Settlement; thence along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of that section to Section 4s of the aforesaid settlement; thence north-westerly along the western boundary of the said Section 4s to a public road; thence westerly along that road to Section 15A, Plunket Settlement; thence northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of that section to the eastern boundary of Block V, Awamoko Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary and the eastern boundary of Block II, Awamoko Survey District, to the point of commencement.
