PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby grants to Harold Gordon Wilson, of Pakaraka Road, Tirau, Farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth to take and use from the Waiomou Stream (hereinafter referred to as the said stream) situated in State Forest 3, Block 1, Patetere North-east Survey District, in the County of Matamata, for the purpose hereinafter set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 3 cubic feet per second at any one time, and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric line hereinafter described.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water Power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
- This licence is issued under the Water Power Regulations 1934, and is subject thereto, and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
- Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity and shall be taken from the said stream at the point in State Forest 3, Block 1, Patetere North-east Survey District, indicated on the plan marked S.H.D. 281, deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
- The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan S.H.D. 281.
(a) Headworks consisting of a weir and intake with a water-race and pipe-line leading to the powerhouse, hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 140 ft.
(b) A Pelton wheel and power-house with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in State Forest 3, Block 1, Patetere North-east Survey District.
(c) A tail-race leading from the said power-house back to the said stream.
(d) Electric lines leading from the said power-house in a south-westerly direction to and across the said stream to a pole; thence in a north-westerly direction to another pole; thence in a northerly direction to and across Section 166, Block I aforesaid, re-entering the said stream, the said State Forest 3, continuing the said Section 166 and continuing to a second house; thence in a westerly direction to a third house.
PROTECTION OF STATE FOREST
- The licensee shall, in addition to strict compliance with the provisions of the Forests Act 1949, the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1947, and the regulations in force thereunder, take all reasonable precautions to protect the forest growth on the aforesaid State forest land from damage or destruction from fire and shall instruct all workmen in the licensee’s employ in the vicinity of this condition. In the event of the bush of the aforesaid State forest land being destroyed by fire (whether such fire originated on such land or on land adjacent thereto in the possession or occupation of the licensee) the licensee shall be liable for payment of compensation, to be assessed by the Conservator of Forests, if such a fire is a consequence of any negligence or disregard of this condition by the licensee or by any agent, servant, workman, or invitee of the licensee.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
- The system of supply shall be an alternating-current system as described in paragraphs (d) and (j) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The system of supply authorized under paragraph (j) aforesaid shall be a single-conductor earth-return system. The normal rated pressure of the transmission lines shall be 6,600 volts.
DURATION OF LICENCE
- Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1975.
RENTAL
- For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this licence, the licensee may install a suitable maximum-demand indicator to the satisfaction of the Inspecting Engineer of the State Hydro-electric Department, and, failing such installation, the rental shall be assessed on the maximum generating-capacity of the plant installed. The present plant is rated at 12 kilowatts.
No Right to Water Conferred
- Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the licensee any right to water.

Authorizing the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board to Invest Moneys in Certain Local Body Securities

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1927 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the investment in debentures of the Thames Hospital Board bearing interest at 4 per cent. of: (a) the sum of one thousand three hundred pounds (£1,300) in debentures maturing on the 15th day of February 1957; and (b) the sum of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500) in debentures maturing on the 15th day of August 1962; the said sums having been received in terms of section 22 of the said Act by the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board.

The Helensville Milk District Constitution Order 1954—Notice No. Ag. 5667

PURSUANT to the Milk Act 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares as follows.

This order may be cited as the Helensville Milk District Constitution Order 1954.

Those parts of New Zealand consisting of the Borough of Helensville and portion of the County of Waitemata described in the Schedule hereto, are hereby constituted and declared a milk district under the Milk Act 1944, as from the 8th day of July 1954, with the name of the “Helensville Milk District”.

The Helensville Borough Council shall be the Milk Authority of the said district.

The Waitemata County Council shall be entitled to have one representative on the Milk Committee of the Helensville Borough Council, and from time to time may nominate a person for that purpose.

The Helensville Borough Council shall from time to time appoint to the Milk Committee of the Borough Council the person nominated by the Waitemata County Council pursuant to clause 4 hereof.
SCHEDULE
THE HELENSVILLE MILK DISTRICT
All that area of approximately 450 acres comprising the Borough of Helensville and a portion of the Waitemata County bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block XIII, Kaipara Survey District, being a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 6 on D.P. 3689 in the middle of the public road forming the northern boundary of Lot 6 aforesaid; thence easterly generally along the middle of the public road aforesaid forming the northern boundaries of Lots 6 and 5, D.P. 3689 aforesaid, part Lot 7, D.P. 9852, Lot 2, D.P. 21544, Lot 3, D.P. 22127, and across a public road to the Kaipara River, all the aforesaid Lots being parts Section 12, Block XIII, and parts Sections 1A, 3A, and 4, Block XIV, Kaipara Survey District; thence southerly generally up the left bank of the Kaipara River aforesaid including Section 14, Block XIV, Kaipara Survey District, to a point in line with the northern boundary of the Borough
