A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the stopped Government road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of stopped Government road directed to be sold: 1 acre and 7·3 perches.

Being road in Proclamation No. 1905 (Southland Land Registry), and being formerly part Sections 7 and 9.

Situated in Block VIII, Town of Mataura (Southland B.D.). (S.O. 5611.)

In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 120666, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

Declaring the Te Awa Farm Settlement Road in the Patangata County to be County Road

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of July 1954

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Patangata County, situated in Block VIII, Motuotaraia Survey District, known as Te Awa Road, commencing at a point on Farm Road, being the eastern corner of Section 9; thence proceeding south-westerly generally through the Te Awa Farm Settlement for a distance of three miles measured along the middle of the road and terminating at the south-western corner of Section 11. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 143674, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
