Lands Reserved in the Land District of Canterbury and Vested in the Christchurch City Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the lands described in the Schedule hereto as reserves for recreation purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserves in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch, in trust, for that purpose.

RESERVE 4741, situated in the City of Christchurch: Area, 5 acres 3 roods 36·4 perches, more or less. (Shown as Lot 28, D.P. 15111, being part Rural Section 64.)

Declaring Portion of Waipawa Domain to be a Recreation Reserve Subject to Part II of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and Revoking the Reservation for Recreation Purposes Over the Said Land, Hawke’s Bay Land District

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve subject to Part II of that Act, and, further, revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the said land.

Changing the Purpose of Reserves in Wellington Land District and Vesting in the Hutt County Council

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the First Schedule hereto from a recreation reserve to a reserve for a site for a public pound, and hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Second Schedule hereto from a recreation reserve to a reserve for a site for a sale yard, and further, hereby vests the said reserves in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hutt, in trust, for their respective purposes.

Cancelling the Vesting in the Selwyn County Council and Revoking the Reservation Over a Reserve in Canterbury Land District

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Selwyn and revokes the reservation for a gravel pit over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him while he is under the age of eighteen years to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
