Price Order No. 1556 (Amendment No. 9 of Price Order No. 1468)
(Eggs) South Island, Excluding Nelson Egg Marketing Area
and Blenheim and Picton Districts

Pursuant to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price Tribunal
hereby makes the following amending Price Order:

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1556, and shall
    be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1468*
    (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 21st day of June 1954.

  3. The principal Order is hereby amended by revoking clauses 7
    and 8 thereof, and substituting the following clauses:

“FIXING MAXIMUM PRICES OF EGGS TO WHICH THIS ORDER APPLIES

“Wholesale Prices

“7. (1) The maximum price that may be charged or received
by any wholesaler (including a producer selling otherwise than by
way of retail) for any eggs to which this Order applies, shall be—

Westland District (Per Dozen) Elsewhere in South Island Excluding Nelson Egg Marketing Area and Blenheim and Picton Districts (Per Dozen)
For Hen Eggs— s. d.
Large 5 4½
Small 4 3½
Mixed 5 1½
For Duck Eggs— s. d.
Large 5 4½
Small 4 3½
Mixed 5 1½

“(2) Every wholesaler (including a producer selling otherwise
than by way of retail) who sells any eggs to which this Order applies
shall specify in the relevant invoices with respect to each item the
classification of the eggs comprised in the item.

“Retail Prices

“8. The maximum price that may be charged or received by
any retailer for any eggs to which this Order applies shall be—
