SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District,
Ashburton County, situated in Block XII, Spaxton Survey
District, commencing at its junction with McKendrys Road,
and proceeding thence south-westerly, adjoining Rural Sections
37710, 37800, and 37709 (Oaklands Farm Settlement)
(S.O. Plan 8360r.), and terminating at the north-western
corner of Rural Section 37709 aforesaid, being a distance of
36 chains, more or less.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 143152, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of
June 1954

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders
and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
become county road.


SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District,
Ashburton County, situated in Block XV, Hinds Survey
District, commencing at its junction with Trig. Pole Road and
Johnston Road, and proceeding thence in easterly and south-
easterly directions, adjoining or passing through part Lot
10, D.P. 3021, being part Rural Section 6406; Lot 9, D.P.
4520, being part Rural Section 6406; Rural Sections 37646,
37647, and 37647 (Burton Farm Settlement), (S.O. Plan
8170L), and terminating at a point on the north-eastern
boundary of Rural Section 37647 aforesaid, 688 links
approximately south-east of the northernmost corner of that
rural section, being a distance of 94 chains, more or less.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 143151, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Amending a Licence Authorizing Arnold and Sons Motors Limited to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the Township of Whataroa

At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of
June 1954

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends, as set forth
in the Schedule hereto, the Order in Council dated the 22nd
day of July 1953, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
on the 23rd day of the same month, at page 1177, authorizing
Arnold and Sons Motors Limited to erect and use certain
electric lines in the township of Whataroa.


SCHEDULE

The eighth line of the Schedule thereto is amended by
(a) inserting the words “the R.S.A. club rooms,” immediately
after the word “exchange”, and (b) deleting the word
“seven” and substituting the word “nine”.

Setting Apart Maori Land as a Maori Reservation

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets
apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule
hereto for the common use of the Maoris of Manutuke, or of
any other Maoris, as a Maori reservation for the purpose of
a burial ground.

hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting-
place and meeting-house site for the common use of the
descendants of Te Tiraran and of the Maoris living in the
Mareikura area, generally.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the 3rd day of
May 1950, and published in the Gazette of the 11th day
of the same month, at page 548, the control of part of the
foreshore in the Bay of Plenty was granted to the Waihi
Borough Council:

And whereas that area of foreshore is no longer within
the boundaries of the Borough of Waihi, and it is desirable
to revoke the said Order in Council:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the provisions of the Harbours
Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby revokes,
as from the date hereof, the hereinbefore recited Order in
Council of the 3rd day of May 1950.
