PURSUANT to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:

3RD INFANTRY BRIGADE

Lieutenant-Colonel H. H. Parata, D.S.O., E.D., from the 3rd Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C., to be Brigadier, and is appointed Commander, 3rd Infantry Brigade. Dated 1 April 1954.

THE ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY

Regular Force

2nd Lieutenant Peter Morell Duncum, from the 2nd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., to be 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.). Dated 17 February 1954.

The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) P. M. Duncum lapses. Dated 20 April 1954.

14th Composite Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A.

The notice published in the N.Z. Gazette No. 9, dated 4 February 1954, relative to the appointment of Brigadier G. S. Peren, C.B.E., Retired List, as Colonel of the Regiment, is hereby cancelled.
