ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of
April 1954
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following
order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Tokarahi Rabbit
District Order 1954.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after
the day of its notification in the Gazette. - The boundaries of the Tokarahi Rabbit District, which
was constituted by Order in Council on the 6th day of March
1946,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the
commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said
district shall be those specified in the Schedule to this order.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE TOKARAHI RABBIT DISTRICT
All that area containing 63,900 acres, more or less, situated
in the Otago Land District and Waitaki County, bounded by a
line commencing at the westernmost corner of part Section 6,
Block VI, Maerewhenua Survey District; thence north-
easterly along the south-eastern side of the Livingstone-
Duntroon Road to the Pukeuri Omarama Main Highway;
thence westerly along the southern side of that highway
to the centre of the Maerewhenua River; thence north-easterly
along the centre of the main stream of the Maerewhenua
River to its confluence with the Waitaki River; thence
generally south-easterly along the centre of the main stream
of the Waitaki River to the confluence of the Awamoko
Stream; thence generally south-westerly along the centre of
the Awamoko Stream to the Pukeuri-Omarama Main Highway;
thence south-easterly along the south-western side of that high-
way to the Boundary Road; thence south-westerly along the
north-western side of that road to Bobbing Creek Road; thence
southerly along the western side of Bobbing Creek Road to the
Ngapara Railway; thence south-easterly along the western
side of that railway to the Windsor Township; thence along
the northern boundary of Windsor Township to Windsor
Road; thence south-westerly along the western side of
Windsor Road and Post Office Gully Road to Tapui Road;
thence westerly along the northern side of Tapui Road to the
Kakanui River; thence westerly along the northern
bank of the Kakanui River to the northern boundary of
Section 14, Block X, Kauroo Survey District; thence westerly
along the northern boundary of the said Section 14 and
Section 15 to the western boundary of Block X, Kauroo Survey
District; thence northerly along that block boundary to the
southern boundary of Section 48, Block IX, Maerewhenua
Survey District; thence westerly and northerly along the
northern and eastern sides of Smiths Road to the Town of
Livingstone; thence north-westerly along the northern side of
David Street and the north-eastern side of the road from
Livingstone to the confluence of the north and south branches
of the Maerewhenua River; thence north-easterly down the
centre of the main stream of the Maerewhenua River to a
point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 30,
Block VI, Maerewhenua Survey District, situated in Tokarahi
Settlement; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary
across the Livingstone-Duntroon Road to the point of
commencement.

The Kelston High School Board of Governors Order 1954

ORDER IN COUNCIL

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Education Act 1914, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the
following order.
ORDER
- This order may be cited as the Kelston High School
Board of Governors Order 1954. - The constitution of the Board of Governors for the
Kelston High School prescribed by section 90 of the
Education Act 1914 is hereby varied so that the school shall
be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education
Board;
(b) Four members elected by the parents of the pupils
attending the school;
(c) Two members appointed by the Governor-General;
(d) One member elected by the Waitenata County
Council, the New Lynn Borough Council, and the
Glen Eden Borough Council;
(e) One additional member to be appointed by the Board
itself if and when it thinks fit to make the
appointment.

Exempting Land in the Westland Land District from the
Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency
the Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted
from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.
SCHEDULE
All that area of land in the Westland Land District contain-
ing 1 acre and 22 perches, more or less, being Lots 1, 2,
3, 4, 5, and 6, Block V, D.P. 148 (Town of Duville),
being part of Section 4, Square 124, Block III, Cobden
Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised
and described in certificate of title, Volume 43, folio 131
(Westland Registry). Excepting and reserving the mines of
coal, iron, stone, and/or minerals under the said land
together with incidental rights.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 15th day of April 1954.
