NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 2nd day of April 1954 presented to the said Court by Ian L. Taylor, of Hawera, Radio Dealer; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 30th day of April 1954 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous of supporting or opposing the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his or her counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be supplied to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the under-signed on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER-RACE

Under the Mining Act 1926

NOTICE is hereby given that by Application No. 35 of 1954 I will apply to the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Cromwell, on Wednesday, the 19th day of May 1954 at 10 a.m., for a licence to authorize the diversion of 14 heads of water by means of a water-race commencing in Six Mile Creek on Run 213n, Block V, Strath-Taieri Survey District, at the foot of the Rock and Pillar Range, and passing through Section 148 of said Block and the Railway Reserve to terminate in my Sections 58, 59, 62, and 8 of the said Block for domestic, stock, and irrigation purposes. Objections must be filed in the Warden’s Office, Cromwell, and notified to me or to my Solicitors, Messrs BRADRICK AND PARCELL, Melmore Street, Cromwell, at least three days before the time of hearing.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, and of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mosgiel Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of land for the purpose of pleasure-grounds and sports-grounds; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate at No. 99 Gordon Road, Mosgiel, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, at the Council Chambers, No. 99 Gordon Road, Mosgiel.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of parcel of land required to be taken: 8 acres 3 roods 18.4 perches.

Being portion of part land in Deposited Plan No. 5,000, being part Section 6, Block VI, East Taieri Survey District; coloured yellow.

In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives of New Zealand relative to Private Bills and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled “An Act to vary certain trusts declared by Annie May McKENZIE, Wife of JOHN ROBERT McKENZIE, of Christchurch, Knight of the British Empire, and the said JOHN ROBERT McKENZIE.

IT is the intention of the said Annie May McKenzie and the said John Robert McKenzie to present a petition to the House of Representatives of New Zealand for the said Bill. The objects of the said Bill are to revoke and cancel certain trusts, to define certain family and charitable interests in lieu thereof, to create new trusts, to effect a variation of and increase the trust fund of a charitable trust known as the J. R. McKenzie Trust, to amend the J. R. McKenzie Trust Act 1947 (No. 1, Private), and to effect a reduction of capital of the company known as Rangatira (Pty.) Limited. Printed copies of the Bill will be deposited in the Private Bill office, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, on the 15th day of April 1954.
