In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933.
PUBLIC notification is hereby given that following the
expiration of one calendar month after the date of
publication of this notice the Balclutha Borough Council will
present to His Excellency the Governor-General a petition,
which may during office hours be inspected at the offices of
the Balclutha Borough Council at Clyde Street, Balclutha,
praying that the boundaries of the Borough of Balclutha be
altered to include the lands comprised and described in the
Schedule hereto.

BLUFF HARBOUR BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Loan No. 14 1952
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Bluff Harbour Improvement Act 1952,
the Harbours Act 1950, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act
1926, the Bluff Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of three million five hundred and thirty-six
thousand pounds (£3,536,000) known as 'Loan No. 14 1952'
for the purpose of constructing and carrying out the works
set out in the First Schedule of the Bluff Harbour Improve-
ment Act 1952 and described in the first column of the said
First Schedule with amounts as scheduled in the second
column, the Bluff Harbour Board hereby makes and levies a
special rate of three-farthings (4d.) in the pound upon the
rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Bluff
Harbour District as constituted by the Bluff Harbour
Empowering Act 1949 comprising the whole of such harbour
district; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and of each
and every part thereof and be payable yearly on the 30th
day of June in each and every year during the currency of
such loan and of each and every part thereof, or until such
loan is fully paid off.'
The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of
the Bluff Harbour Board held on the 23rd day of February
1954.
