MARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and their respective amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Marton Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute certain public works, namely, the construction of a reservoir and water-supply scheme and necessary road deviation, and for the purposes of such public works the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and the part of the road described in the Second Schedule is required to be closed.

Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken and of the road so required to be closed is deposited in the office of the Council at High Street, Marton, and is available for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said works or by the taking of such lands or by the closing of the said road who have any well-grounded objections to the same must state their objections in writing, and send the same to or lodge the same at the office of the said Marton Borough Council, at High Street, Marton, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, i.e., on or before the 30th day of March 1954.

FIRST SCHEDULE

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Featherston require to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto. The lands are required for the purpose of a public work, namely, for street. Notice is hereby given that a plan of the said lands is open for inspection at the offices of the Featherston Borough Council, Featherston.
