NOTICE is hereby given that on 17 February 1954 the under-

Information about Cables, Beacons, and Lights
(Repeating Notice No. 3072 contained in Admiralty Notice to Mariners No. 52 of 1953, Weekly Complete Edition)
- The accompanying blocks show amendments to cables in Rangitoto Channel (36° 47' S., 174° 48' E., approx.), Motuihe Channel (36° 47' S., 174° 57' E., approx.) and, on charts 3797 and 2543, Tamaki Strait (36° 51' S., 175° 03' E. approx.).
- The symbol for a submarine cable is to be inserted from position 36° 49' 51" S., 174° 48' 00" E. in a 196° direction to the shore of Hobson Bay.
- Small circles marked as shown, are to be inserted in positions :
(a) 'Bn' 36° 47' 35" S., 175° 01' 24" E.
(b) 'Bn' 36° 52' 14" S., 174° 54' 44" E.
The beacon at (a) and the two beacons at (b) are white triangular with 'Cable' in black. - The following are to be inserted :
(a) A light-star 'Bn F.R.' 213° 2-76 miles from the Perch in position 36° 50' 10" S., 175° 04' 10" E. (approx.).
(b) A small circle 'Bn' 033° 0-09 miles from the Perch in position 36° 50' 10" S., 175° 04' 10" E. (approx.).
(c) A small circle 'Bn' 205° 2-95 miles from the Perch in position 36° 50' 10" S., 175° 04' 10" E. (approx.).
(d) A small circle 'Bn' 087° 0-80 miles from the Perch in position 36° 50' 10" S., 175° 04' 10" E. (approx.).
The symbol for a submarine cable 'Power' is to be inserted from (a) to (b).
The symbol for a submarine cable is to be inserted from (c) as follows:
In an 012° direction for 0-25 miles, thence 039° to (d). The beacons at (a) and (b) are triangular; the two beacons at (c) and the beacon at (d) are white triangular with 'Cable' in black. - The existing cable '(P.A.)' between (4a) and Awa-awa-roa Bay, north-eastward, has been discontinued and is to be expunged.
