notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so
required to be taken is deposited in the Municipal Chambers
of the said Corporation situated in the Octagon in the said
City of Dunedin and is open for inspection without fee by all
persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or by the
taking of the said lands should if they have any well-grounded
objection to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of such lands set forth the same in writing, and send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication of
this notice, to the Town Clerk of the said Corporation.

MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the
Manawatu County Council hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000)
authorized to be raised by a poll of ratepayers under the
abovementioned Act for the purpose of providing the cost of
renewing six bridges on county roads within the County of
Manawatu, the said Manawatu County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny ($d.) in the
pound upon the rateable value (unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the County of Manawatu; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of September in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.'
The above is an extract from the minutes of a meeting of
the Manawatu County Council held on the 13th day of April
1948.

during forty days from the first publication of this notice.
