At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of
February 1954
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders
and declares that the portion of road described in the
Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order
in Council, become Government road.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road declared to be Government
road: 1 acre 2 roods 22 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Allotment 50A and part Allot-
ment S.W. 50, Parish of Kaiwaka.

Situated in Block III, Otamatea Survey District (Auckland
R.D.). (S.O. 30243.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
108264, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
consents to the Ashburton County Council stopping the portion
of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be
stopped: 14 acres 27 perches.
Adjoining Lots 66, 67, 68, 76, 77, 78, 87, 88, 96, 97, 107, 108,
109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, and 142, D.P. 1482, and

And whereas in clause 3 of the said Order in Council
provision is made for the repayment of portion of the said
amount of one hundred and ninety thousand pounds
(£190,000) amounting to one hundred and eighteen thousand
two hundred pounds (£118,200) in the twentieth half-year
from the date of borrowing thereof:

And whereas portion of the said amount of one hundred
and eighteen thousand two hundred pounds (£118,200)
amounting to twenty-eight thousand one hundred pounds
(£28,100) (hereinafter called the said sum) has not yet been
raised and it is expedient to vary certain of the determina-
tions aforesaid in respect of the said sum as hereinafter
provided:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 11 of the Local
Government Loans Board Act 1926 as set out in section 29
of the Finance Act 1932 (No. 2), His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby varies the determinations
aforesaid in respect of the said sum as follows:

  1. In lieu of a term of ten (10) years, as specified in
    clause 1 of the said Order in Council, the term for which the
    said sum or any part thereof may be raised shall be twenty
    (20) years.

  2. In lieu of repayment in the twentieth half-year from
    the date of borrowing thereof, as specified in clause 3 of the
    said Order in Council, the said sum or any part thereof shall
    be repaid as follows:

(a) By a payment of an amount of eight hundred
pounds (£800) at the end of the first half-year
from the date of borrowing of the said sum.
(b) Thereafter by thirty-nine equal half-yearly payments
of seven hundred pounds (£700) each.

Varying the Determinations in Respect of Portion (£48,000)
of the Hawkc's Bay Hospital Board's Loan of £220,000

At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of
February 1954
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 24th day
of March 1952 and subject to the determinations
as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was
given to the raising in New Zealand by the Hawke's Bay
Hospital Board (hereinafter called the said local authority)
of a loan of two hundred and twenty thousand pounds
(£220,000) to be known as ‘Napier Hospital Chest Block
Loan 1951' (hereinafter called the said loan):

And whereas by Order in Council made on the 23rd
day of September 1953 the determinations aforesaid were
cancelled in respect of portion of the said loan amounting
to one hundred and ten thousand pounds (£110,000) and new
determinations made in lieu thereof:

And whereas in clause 3 of the Order in Council made
on the 23rd day of September 1953 provision is made for
the repayment of portion of the said amount of one hundred
and ten thousand pounds (£110,000) amounting to eighty
thousand four hundred pounds (£80,400) in the twentieth
half-year from the date of borrowing thereof:

And whereas portion of the said amount of eighty
thousand four hundred pounds (£80,400) amounting to forty-
eight thousand pounds (£48,000) (hereinafter called the
said sum) has not yet been raised and it is expedient to
vary certain of the new determinations aforesaid in respect
of the said sum as hereinafter provided:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 11 of the Local
Government Loans Board Act 1926 as set out in section 29
of the Finance Act 1932 (No. 2), His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby varies the new determina-
tions aforesaid in respect of the said sum as follows:

  1. In lieu of a term of ten (10) years, as specified in
    clause 1 of the Order in Council made on the 23rd day of
    September 1953, the term for which the said sum or any
    part thereof may be raised shall not exceed twenty (20)
    years.

  2. In lieu of repayment in the twentieth half-year from
    the date of borrowing thereof, as specified in clause 3 of
    the Order in Council made on the 23rd day of September
    1953, the said sum or any part thereof shall be repaid by
    equal half-yearly instalments of principal extending over the
    term of twenty (20) years as determined in clause 1 hereof.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 7th day of
October 1953 (hereinafter called the said Order in
Council) and subject to the determinations as to borrowing
and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the
raising in New Zealand by the Wellington Hospital Board
(hereinafter called the said local authority) of an amount of
one hundred and ninety thousand pounds (£190,000), being
portion of a loan of three hundred and eighty thousand
pounds (£380,000) known as ‘Nurses' Home, Wellington,
No. 3 Block Loan 1953' (hereinafter called the said loan):
