Declaration of a Poll on a Loan Proposal
Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that at the poll of ratepayers of the Bluff Harbour District, taken by the Bluff Harbour Board on the 13th day of December 1952, on the proposal to raise a special loan under the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 of £3,536,000 for the purposes of the construction and carrying out of harbour works in Bluff Harbour, the number of votes recorded for and against the proposal is as follows:—

I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.

Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirits
G. W. Rowe, Cameron Road South, Tauranga, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage and service-station premises at Cameron Road South, Tauranga.
C. C. Robertson, Carter's Beach, near Westport, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store premises at Carter's Beach, near Westport.
L. A. Parsons, Shelly Beach, South Head, Kaipara Harbour (near Helensville), has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit otherwise than through pumps from camp premises at Shelly Beach.
N.Z. Forest Products, Ltd., Kinleith, near Tokoroa, has applied for permission to resell motor-spirit from one pump at mill premises, Kinleith.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 5 March 1953, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 2492, Wellington.

Amending Order No. 82 of the Government Service Tribunal
In the matter of section 9 (b) of the Government Service Tribunal Act 1948, and in the matter of an application dated 11 February 1953, jointly made by the New Zealand Educational Institute (Registered) and the Director of Education.
THE Government Service Tribunal, having heard and considered the joint application of the New Zealand Educational Institute (Registered) and the Director of Education dated 11 February 1953, doth hereby order—

This Order amends Principal Order No. 60 as follows:

Clause 51: By adding the following clause as clause 51 thereof:—
‘The grade of salary otherwise payable under this Order in respect of the position of an assistant teacher in a normal school and the position of a teacher in a model school is hereby raised at the rate specified in Part X of the Second Schedule to this Order:
Provided that the provisions of the clause shall not apply in respect of the position of a teacher in a special class or a hospital class attached to a normal school except with the approval of the Director of Education:
Provided, further, that the additional salary specified in Part X of the Second Schedule to this Order shall not be payable if the teacher is transferred or appointed to a position in a school other than a normal school or a model school.’
- Second Schedule: By adding thereto the following as Part X:—
Clause 51: Rate of additional salary payable Annual Rate. to an assistant teacher in a normal school £60
This Order shall have effect on and from the 1st day of March 1953.
