PURSUANT to the Marriage Act 1908, the Births and Deaths Registration Act 1951, and the Maori Births and Deaths Registration Regulations 1935, it is hereby notified that the following appointments have been made:
Edgar Alfred Sawyer to be Acting Registrar of Marriages for the District of Waipukurau and Acting Registrar of Births and Deaths at Waipukurau on and from the 16th day of March 1953.
Basil Baden Aldridge to be Registrar of Marriages for the District of Tuatapere and Registrar of Births and Deaths and of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Tuatapere on and from the 17th day of December 1952.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Agreement for Grant of Easement in Favour of the Thames Borough Council, Over Land in the Borough of Thames, Taken for Housing Purposes, Assented to
WHEREAS by an agreement dated the 14th day of November 1951, the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Thames, being registered as the proprietors of an area of: firstly, 1 rood 17 perches, being Section 24, Block IV, Thames Survey District, situated in the Borough of Thames; and, secondly, 1 rood 36 perches, being Section 25, Block IV, Thames Survey District, situated in the said Borough, both the said pieces of land being parts of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 893, folio 159 (Auckland Land Registry), have agreed to Her Majesty the Queen taking under the Public Works Act 1928 for housing purposes portion of the above-described land containing approximately 2 roods 24.9 perches, being all the said Section 25 and part of the said Section 24:
And whereas the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Thames are entitled to receive compensation for the taking of the said land:
And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Thames a water-supply easement over part of Lots 5, 9, and 10, D.P. S 663, part of the Pukerahui Block, and part of the Huikaretu A No. 2 Block in full satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:
And whereas the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Thames have agreed to accept such grant of easement in full satisfaction of the said compensation:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice, in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.
