ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING RATE

Water Pumping Loan, 1951, £8,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Health
Act 1920, and the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, and in
pursuance and exercise of all other powers and authorities
enabling it in that behalf, the Ashburton Borough Council
hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a special loan of £8,000, authorized to be
raised by the Ashburton Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Acts and for the purpose of providing waterworks
comprising the installation of a well, augmenting the water-
supply available in the Borough of Ashburton, the Ashburton
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
penny (1d.) in the pound upon the rateable property (on the
basis of annual value) of all rateable property in the Borough
of Ashburton; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be
payable on the first day of April in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty
years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify this to be a true and correct copy of a
resolution passed by the Ashburton Borough Council on
26 January 1953.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Housing Loan 1952 of £100,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of
the Wellington City Council held on Monday, the 2nd day
of February 1953.

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act
1926 and its amendments the Wellington City Council hereby
resolves as follows:-

"That for the purpose of providing the interest sinking
fund repayment of principal and other charges on a loan of
one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000) to be known as the
Wellington City Housing Loan 1952 of £100,000 authorized to
be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of providing housing accommo-
dation for Corporation employees by acquiring suitable land
and erecting dwellings, acquiring existing dwellings, where
necessary repairing, altering or converting such dwellings and
meeting the cost of incidental roading works and the provision
of services the Wellington City Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of sixty-six eight-hundredths of a penny
66/800d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of
the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the
whole of the City of Wellington and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April in
each year during the currency of such loan being a period of
twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

HASTINGS BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Hastings
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £115,000, authorized to be raised
by the Hastings Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the following purposes:-

(a) Construction of new reservoir and artesian wells;
(b) Construction of concrete footpaths, kerbs, and
channelling;
(c) Sewer duplication, Nelson Street, relief sewer, Kenil-
worth Road, and extension sewers; and
(d) Stormwater drainage extensions-

the said Hastings Borough Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of eighty-one one-hundredths (81/100) of a penny
in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property appearing on the
valuation roll of the Borough of Hastings, comprising the
whole Borough; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be
due and payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty-five years (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid
off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Hastings
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £7,400, authorized to be raised by
the Hastings Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of completing the works authorized under the
£74,300 General Purposes Loan, 1946, the said Hastings
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
seventy-five one-thousandths (.075) of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property appearing on the valuation roll
of the Borough of Hastings, comprising the whole Borough;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and shall be due and pay-
able yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
