Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in Castlepoint County
(Notice No. Ag. 5524)
PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-
General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the
Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act,
hereby publishes the following special order made by the
Castlepoint County Council on the 13th day of October 1953.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in it by the Counties Act 1920, the Noxious
Weeds Act 1950, and all other Acts, amendments, and regulations
relative thereto, the Castlepoint County Council doth
hereby resolve by way of a special order that the weeds
contained in the Schedule hereunder shall be hereafter declared
noxious weeds within the County of Castlepoint within the
provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.
SCHEDULE
Burdock (Arctium, any species).
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).
Goat's rue (Galega officinalis).
St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum).
Heath (Erica lusitanica and Erica arborea).

black and white.

Mechanics Bay—Amended Seaplane Anchorage
(Previous N.Z. Notice to Mariners No. 5 of 1941, hereby
cancelled)
Position: Lat. 36° 50·5' S., long. 174° 47·1' E. (approx.).
Details: The following amended area has been established
as a fairway and anchorage for seaplanes: Commencing from
the inner end of the eastern breakwater; thence along the
western side of the breakwater to the lights on the northern
end; thence by a line 230° 1,250 ft. to a red and white
vertical-striped conical buoy; thence by a line 167° to the
breastwork eastern reclamation.
