Authorizing Erection of a Public Hall on Brightwater Domain, Nelson Land District

C. W. M. NORRIE, Governor-General

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (d) of section 52 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby authorize the Brightwater Domain Board to erect a public hall on that portion of the Brightwater Domain under its control described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT—PORTION OF BRIGHTWATER DOMAIN

PART Section 18, District of Waimea South, situated in Block IX, Waimea Survey District: Area, 12·5 perches, more or less. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 1/471C, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 24th day of October 1953.

PURSUANT to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:

THE ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY

Regular Force

Lieutenant-Colonel H. E. Gilbert, D.S.O., O.B.E., was granted the temporary rank of Colonel whilst on special duty overseas for the period 17 September 1953 to 5 October 1953.

Territorial Force

3rd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A.

Major J. Harper is posted to the Retired List. Dated 6 October 1953.

THE ROYAL N.Z. ARMOURED CORPS

Regular Force

Captain (temp. Major) W. A. Morgan, M.B.E., E.D., ceases to be seconded to the Fiji Military Forces, relinquishes the temporary rank of Major, and is posted for duty to C.M.D. Training Depot. Dated 17 September 1953.

Territorial Force

2nd Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C.

Captain A. E. Clutterbuck, E.D., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 2nd Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C., with the rank of Captain, with seniority from 8 November 1947. Dated 6 October 1953.
