MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Staff Housing Loan 1953, £6,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Makara County Council hereby resolves as follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,750 (being part of a loan of £6,000) authorized to be raised by the Makara County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing two existing houses for the accommodation of Council employees, the said Makara County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny (1/12d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Makara, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of April and the 31st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

OHURA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Staff Housing Loan 1952
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Board Act 1926, the Ohura County Council hereby resolves as follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of interest and principal and other charges on a loan of £5,500 authorized to be raised by the Ohura County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Board Act 1926 for the purpose of erecting an Engineer’s residence and reconditioning of a dwelling at Ongarue and called the Staff Housing Loan, 1952, the said Ohura County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-farthings (3d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Ohura; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on 1 March and 1 September in each and every half-year during the currency of such loan and until the loan is fully paid off.’’
