Price Order No. 1497 (Amendment No. 1 of Price Order No. 1484) (Laying Mash and Chick Mash)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby makes the following amending Price Order:

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1497, and shall be read with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1484* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 23rd day of October 1953.

  3. The principal Order is hereby amended by revoking clause 4 thereof and substituting the following new clause therefor:

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER

'4. This Order applies with respect to any poultry food sold as mash in New Zealand except Basic Poultry Ration or other poultry food to which Price Order No. 1496 applies.'

  1. The principal Order is hereby further amended by inserting the words 'Price Order or a' before the words 'special approved price' in each of clauses 5 (1), 6 (1), and 7 (1) thereof.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan

PURSUANT to the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the following notice received by the Minister of Finance from the Mayor of the Borough of West Harbour is hereby published.

BOROUGH OF WEST HARBOUR

Poll of Ratepayers

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of West Harbour taken on the 5th day of October 1953 on the proposal that the West Harbour Borough Council act as guarantors to one-sixth of the capital cost of £37,200 required for the acquisition, alteration, and extension of property for premises to be conducted by the proposed Trust, the maximum liability to be £6,200:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 147. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 219. Informal votes 2.

I therefore declare that the proposal was lost.
