The Hampden Cemetery Order 1953

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of September 1953
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Cemeteries Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Hampden Cemetery Order 1953.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1953. - The Hampden Borough Council is hereby appointed to be the trustee of the cemetery known as the Hampden Cemetery, being the area described in the Schedule hereto, and shall have the control and management of that cemetery under and for the purposes of the Cemeteries Act 1908.
- (1) The delegation to the Hampden Borough Council of the powers of appointing and removing trustees for the said cemetery, made by Order in Council dated the 18th day of September 1933,* is hereby revoked.
(2) The said Order in Council is hereby accordingly amended by omitting from the first column of the Schedule the words 'Hampden Borough Council', and by omitting from the second column of the Schedule the word 'Hampden'.

HAMPDEN CEMETERY
ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing 10 acres, more or less, being Section 16, Block LXIV, Town of Hampden.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for street.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken: 4 acres 1 rood 16.2 perches.
Being part Allotments 1 and 8, Section 15, and part Allotments 18A and 41, Section 3, Suburbs of Auckland.

Declaring Poporangi Farm Settlement Road in the Hawke's Bay County to be County Road

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall on and after the date of this Order in Council become county road.
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Hawke's Bay County, known as Poporangi Road, commencing at the southernmost point of Section 3, Block IV, Wakarara Survey District, on Duffs Road; thence proceeding in a generally northerly direction, a north-westerly direction and a north-easterly direction for a distance of 126 chains measured along the middle of the road to a point one chain north of the south-western boundary of Section 3, Block XVI, Ngaruroro Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 141318, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Amending an Order in Council Appointing Five Non-elective Members of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board

PURSUANT to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and section 7 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 3rd day of August 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th day of August 1949 at page 1624, appointing five non-elective members of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board, by deleting 'Assistant Conservator of Forests, State Forest Service, Rotorua', and substituting 'Forest Ranger, New Zealand Forest Service, Gisborne'.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the 17th day of September 1952 and published in the Gazette of the 25th day of the same month at page 1952, Edward Richard Edsall and Louis George Vik were licensed to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark in the Taieri River as a site for a slipway:
And whereas it is desirable to revoke the said Order in Council:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the provisions of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby revokes as from the 31st day of July 1953 the hereinbefore recited Order in Council.
