✨ Government Orders in Council
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 11 of the Local
Government Loans Board Act 1926 as set out in section 29
of the Finance Act 1932 (No. 2), His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby varies the determinations aforesaid
in respect of the said sum by prescribing as follows:
-
In lieu of a term of twenty-five (25) years, as specified
in clause 1 of the said Order in Council, the term for which
the said sum or any part thereof may be raised shall not
exceed twenty (20) years. -
In lieu of a rate of interest not exceeding three pounds
five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum, as specified in
clause 2 of the said Order in Council, the rate of interest that
may be paid in respect of the said sum or any part thereof
shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a
rate or rates exceeding four pounds (£4) per centum per
annum. -
No moneys shall be borrowed under the consent given
by the said Order in Council after the expiration of four
(4) years from the date thereof.

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 53 of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes
the Lyttelton Harbour Board to invest out of its funds the
sums of £400 of the Special Accident Insurance Fund, £2,300
of the Special Fire Insurance Fund, and £5,900 of the Special
Renewal Fund in debentures of local bodies as shown in the
Schedule hereto.

Revoking a Previous Order in Council and Reapportioning
Representation on the Ashburton Electric Power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of
September 1953
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes
the Order in Council dated the 21st day of November 1921 and
published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 24th day of
the same month, apportioning representation on the Ashburton
Electric Power Board, and hereby determines in lieu thereof
that the number of representatives of each constituent district
of the Ashburton Electric Power District on the said Board
shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite
the name of that constituent district; and further determines
that the constituent districts which are bracketed together in
the first column of the Schedule hereto are hereby constituted
a combined district for the purposes of the said Act, and that
the local authority of the constituent district distinguished
in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter "(P)"
shall be the principal local authority of such combined dis-
trict; and further determines that the first election of the
representatives of the said combined district shall be held on
the 31st day of October 1953.

Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 17th day of
March 1948 and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 16
of the 24th day of the same month at page 330, as amended
by Order in Council dated the 7th day of July 1948 and
published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 39 of the 8th day
of the same month at page 854, declaring the number of
members and apportioning representation on the Otago
Catchment Board by deleting therefrom the Schedule thereto
and substituting therefor the following Schedule:

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of
September 1953
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
approves of the following resolution passed by the Auckland
City Council on the 20th day of August 1953 in so far as
it affects the sides and portions of streets described in the
Schedule hereto, viz.:
The Auckland City Council, being the local authority
having control of the streets in the City of Auckland, by
resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the
Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the eastern portion
of Lorne Street and the western portion of Kitchener Street
fronting subdivision of Lot 4 of Allotment 4 and part Allot-
ment 5, Section 14, City of Auckland, and comprised in
certificates of title, Volume 36, folio 221, Volume 67, folio 235,
and Volume 754, folio 179, Auckland Registry.
SCHEDULE
The eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the
North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as
Lorne Street, fronting Allotment 4 and parts Allotment 5,
Section 14, City of Auckland.
Also the western side of all that portion of street in the
said land district and city, known as Kitchener Street, fronting
Allotment 4 and part Allotment 5, Section 14, City of
Auckland.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.I). 141169, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
