THE following notice, received by the Right Hon. the Minister of Finance from the Chairman, Te Puke Rabbit Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926.

TE PUKE RABBIT BOARD
Notice of Result of Poll
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Te Puke Rabbit District taken on the 22nd day of July 1953 upon the proposal of the Te Puke Rabbit Board to borrow the sum of £3,000 for housing:
The number of valid votes recorded for the proposal was 89.
The number of valid votes recorded against the proposal was 53.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

BOROUGH OF BIRKENHEAD
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Birkenhead taken on the 18th day of July 1953 on the proposal of the Birkenhead Borough Council to borrow the sum of three thousand pounds (£3,000) for the purpose of purchasing land at Beachhaven for development as a recreation ground in the Borough of Birkenhead:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 272.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 221.
Informal, 9.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated at Birkenhead, this 21st day of July 1953.
