Import Control Notices




Pursuant to clause 15 of the Import Control Regulations 1938*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows :

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 6) 1953.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 31st day of July 1953.

  2. (1) Goods of the classes specified in the First Schedules to the exempting notices set forth in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of Uruguay or Yugoslavia shall, except to the extent that certain exemptions referred to in such notices have been withdrawn by the notices set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, be exempt from the requirements of a licence under the said regulations.
    (2) The said notices in the First Schedule hereto are hereby consequentially amended by omitting from their respective Second Schedules the words “Uruguay” and “Yugoslavia.”

Pursuant to regulation 15 of the Import Control Regulations 1938,* the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows :

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 7) 1953.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 31st day of July 1953.

  2. Goods of the classes specified in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country other than the countries specified in the Second Schedule hereto, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

  3. The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Third Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notices shown in that Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.

389 (b) Chassis for electrically propelled motor vehicles of types and under conditions approved by the Minister.
