Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—CANTERBURY CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Oxford County, containing by admeasurement 3,632 acres, more or less, and being Reserve 4699 (formerly Part Reserve 3739), situated in Blocks I, II, and III, Oxford Survey District, and XIV and XV, Upper Ashley Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated in plan No. 143/23, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Canterbury plan S.O. 8586.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 3rd day of July 1953.

Land Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act 1908

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 4698, situated in Block V, Okains Survey District: Area, 56 acres and 28 perches, more or less. (Shown as Lot 1, D.P. 16788, being part Rural Section 32423.) All certificate of title, Volume 575, folio 40.
