A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

Approximate area of the piece of road closed: 22 acres 3 roods.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 2 and 3.
Situated in Block XIII, Tarawera Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 36200.)
In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 140675, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of July 1953.

Pursuant to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, that road being no longer required.

Recreation Reserve in North Auckland Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of July 1953

His Excellency The Governor-General In Council
Pursuant to section 34 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the reserve for recreation in the North Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter form part of the Ngunguru Domain,, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Ngunguru Domain Board.

Recreation Reserves in Southland Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928

Pursuant to section 34 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the reserves for recreation in the Southland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserves shall hereafter form part of the Riverton Domain and shall be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Riverton Domain Board.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Leith Valley Public Hall Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of July 1953
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General In Council
Whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a public hall:
And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in a special Board as hereinafter provided:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 17 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vests the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto for the period of five years from the date hereof (unless previously amended or revoked under the said Act), in the undermentioned persons, namely,β William Hood Davidson, Thomasina Dryden, Georgina Fleming, Elizabeth Jane Jackson, Rosalie Margaret Kearney, George Leonard Morrison, and Albert Trower,
who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board by the name of the Leith Valley Public Hall Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board), with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:β
- The first meeting of the Board shall be held on Tuesday the 4th day of August 1953, at 8 o'clock p.m., at the Leith Valley Public Hall, Leith Valley, and thereafter the Board shall meet for the transaction of business at such time and place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.
- The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.
- Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided that two days' notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.
- Any four members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.
- If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.
- If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any members absents himself, without reasonable cause, from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his (or her) stead.
