the said Act, a final general meeting of members of the
above-named company will be held in the offices of Messrs.
Reid and Jones, Public Accountants, 47 Esk Street, Inver-
cargill, on Wednesday, 8 July 1953, at 2.30 p.m., for the
purpose of:

Receiving and considering the liquidator's final state-
ment of account and of giving any explanation thereof which
may be required. -
To resolve, pursuant to section 275 of the said Act, as
to the disposal of documents, books, and accounts of the
company.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR
ELECTRIC-POWER LOAN 1953, OF £450,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Dunedin
City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £450,000, authorized to be raised
by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of completing the development works provided
for in the Electric-power Loan 1948, of £723,000, the said
Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of fourpence (4d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value
(on the basis of the annual value), of all rateable property
of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of
Dunedin; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable
yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty
(20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct
copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on
Monday, 15 June 1953.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR PUBLIC
WORKS LOAN 1953, OF £300,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loan Act 1926, the Dunedin
City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £300,000, authorized to be raised
by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of completing the street works resulting from
the change-over from electric trams to trolley-bus transport,
including the completion of the Stuart Street (Albert Street)
Extension, and carrying out new street works in various parts
of the city, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of twopence (2d.) in the pound (£)
upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of
all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the
whole of the City of Dunedin; and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of
such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of
June in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.''
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on
Monday, 15 June 1953.

WAIMEA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Waimea
Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purposes of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £25,000, known as the Reticulation
Loan (No. 7) 1953, £50,000 (Portion £25,000), authorized to
be raised by the Waimea Electric-power Board under the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of further reticulating
the Waimea Electric-power District, the said Waimea Electric-
power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one-nineteenth of one penny (1/19d.) in the pound upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable
property in the Waimea Electric-power District; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.''

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and
Amendment Act 1924, the Public Works Act 1928,
and the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, and their
respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council
proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts
and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that
behalf to execute a certain public works, namely, in connection
with street-widening at Edinburgh Terrace in the City of
Wellington, and for the purpose of such public work the land
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And
notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so
required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street,
in the said city, and is there open for inspection, without fee,
by all persons during ordinary office hours and that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work, or the
taking of such land, should if they have well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public works or to the
taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and
send such writing, within forty days from the first publication
of this notice, to the Wellington City Council addressed to the
Town Clerk at his said office.
SCHEDULE
All that piece or parcel of land situate in the City of
Wellington containing by admeasurement eighty-four one-
hundredths perches (0.84 perches), more or less, being part
of Section 1092, City of Wellington, being the 'Reserve'
shown on Deposited Plan No. 165, and being also the balance
of the land in certificate of title, Volume 17, folio 141
(Wellington Land Registry).

original certificate No. 16977 issued in the name of JOHN
FRANCIS POULTON, of 18 Third Avenue, Tauranga, and the
said JOHN FRANCIS POULTON has made a statutory declaration
that the original certificate of title to the said stock has been
lost.
Notice is hereby given that unless within thirty days from
date hereof there is made to the company some claim or
representation in respect of the said original certificate, a
new certificate will be issued in place thereof.
