aforesaid parish, and crossing the intersecting public road,

13B Block, then northerly generally along the said north-
eastern boundary and the north-eastern boundaries of Te Akau
Nos. A 11, A 7B, and A 3 to a public road; then westerly
along the south side of the said public road to a point in
line with the southern end of the eastern boundary of Lot 1
as shown on the plan numbered 13861, deposited as aforesaid;
being part of Putataka Nos. 1A and 1B Blocks; then
northerly generally along a right line across a public road,
to and along the eastern boundary aforesaid, along the south-
eastern boundary of part of Lot 2 as shown on the plan
numbered 28388, deposited as aforesaid, to and along the
southern and eastern boundaries of Section 4, Block XIII,
Onewhero Survey District, and a right line, being that boundary
produced, across another public road, and along its north-
eastern side to and along the eastern and northern boundaries
of Section 6, Block XIII, Onewhero Survey District, to and
along the eastern and northern boundaries of Section 9, Block
IX, Onewhero Survey District, to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Section 5, of the aforesaid Block IX;
then along a right line across a public road to and along
the north-eastern boundary of Section 5 aforesaid to the point
of commencement.

Port Waikato Riding

All that area in the Raglan County bounded by a line
commencing at a point in Block XIII, Awaroa Survey District,
on the shores of the Tasman Sea and being the north-
western corner of Te Akau B No. 15B Block and running
northerly and easterly along the seashore to and up the left
bank of the Waikato River to the northern corner of the
Onewhero Riding; then southerly generally along the
western boundary of the aforesaid Onewhero Riding as herein-
before described to and along the western boundary of the
Whangape Riding as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 56
of the 25th day of September 1947, page 1386, to the
Waikaretu Road; then westerly generally along the aforesaid
Waikaretu Road to and along the northern boundary of Te
Akau B No. 15B Block to the seashore, being the point of
commencement.

Scheme of Control of Te Awamutu College

PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, I
Ronald Macmillan Algie, Minister of Education, hereby
approve of Te Awamutu College being controlled in accordance
with the provisions of the standard scheme of control for
secondary schools published at page 3451 of Volume III of
the New Zealand Gazette of the year 1928, provided that:—

(a) Clause 19 of the standard scheme shall be read as if
every reference to the year 1929 were a reference to
the year 1953.

(b) Clause 43 of the standard scheme shall be read as if
the words “The Secretary shall be insured under
a fidelity bond for a sum of not less than five
hundred pounds” were omitted.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Housing Purposes in
the City of Dunedin

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the
provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the
land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes;
and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at
Maori Hill and is there open for inspection; and that all
persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if
they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such
land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice,
to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
32 perches.
Being part Lots 25 and 26, Deeds Plan 182, and part Delhi
Street, Deeds Plan 333, being part Section 13.

Situated in Block III, Upper Kaikorai District (City of
Dunedin). (Otago R.D.)

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 140378, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and
thereon edged red.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XIII, Waoku
Survey District, for a Public School

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a
certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public school,
and for the purposes of such public work the land described
in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice
is hereby further given that plans of the land so required to
be taken are deposited in the post-offices at Opononi and
Waiotemarama and are there open for inspection; and that
all persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any
well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public
work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in
writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the
first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at
Wellington.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the
Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that
the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said
regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy
trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter
mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall
apply:

A motor-driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1940, to the persons described in Column 1 of
the Schedule hereunder may authorize them to drive a heavy
trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers
described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not
authorize them while they are under the age of eighteen years,
to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
