Vesting Reserves in the Raetihi Borough Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of January 1953
Present:
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been duly set apart as reserves for plantation purposes : And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Raetihi :
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Raetihi, in trust, for plantation purposes.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 3 roods 27 perches, more or less, being Section 222, Suburbs of Raetihi. (S.O. plan 17209.)
Also all those areas containing by admeasurement a total of 1 acre 2 roods 8·8 perches, more or less, being Sections 223 and 291 (formerly Lot 1 of Section 225), Suburbs of Raetihi, and being the balance of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 230, folio 63 (Wellington Registry). Also all that area containing by admeasurement 3 roods 27·9 perches, more or less, being Section 224, Suburbs of Raetihi, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 530, folio 87 (Wellington Registry). (S.O. plan 17209.)
All situated in Block VI, Makotuku Survey District.
All subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948.

Revoking Order in Council Licensing Witten and Tregidga to Occupy Foreshore at Dargaville, in Kaipara Harbour, as a Timber Storage Site

At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of January 1953
Present :
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the 10th day of October 1945, and published in the Gazette of the 25th day of the same month, at page 1312, Witten and Tregidga were licensed to occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Dargaville in Kaipara Harbour, as a site for storing timber :
And whereas it is desirable to revoke the said Order in Council : Now, therefore, pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby revokes as from the 31st day of December 1952 the hereinbefore recited Order in Council.

Approving the Term of a License Granted to G. A. Gamman and Company, Limited, for a Tramway Across the Hamilton-Rotorua Main Highway

Present:
PURSUANT to the Tramways Act 1908 and the Tramways Amendment Act 1910, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the term of the licence granted for a period of ten years from the 1st day of February 1952, by the Main Highways Board to G. A. Gamman and Company, Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Mamaku, authorizing the said company to construct and maintain a private tramway on and across the Hamilton-Rotorua Main Highway, the position of such tramway being more particularly shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 112368, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Amending an Order in Council Authorizing the Seddonville Community Centre (Incorporated) to Erect and Use Electric Lines in Portion of the County of Buller

Present:
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the Ist day of February 1950 and published in the Gazette on the 9th day of the same month at page 150, as amended by the Order in Council dated the 9th day of April 1952 and published in the Gazette on the 10th day of the same month at page 726, authorizing the Seddonville Community Centre (Incorporated) to erect and use electric lines, by deleting from clause 5 thereof the expression “12s. per calendar month”, and substituting therefor the expression “14s. per calendar month”.

Appointing a Member of the Patea Harbour Board

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Harbours Act 1950, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Alexander Harper Langslow to be a member of the Patea Harbour Board as a representative of the electors of the combined district of the Borough of Patea and the Waverley Town District Subdivision of the Patea Harbour District, in place of Frederick Ramsbottom, deceased, to hold office until the third Saturday of November 1953.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 19th day of January 1953.
