REGENT BILLIARD SALOON, LIMITED

IN LIQUIDATION

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to the Companies Act
1933 that at an extraordinary general meeting of the
above-named company duly convened and held on the 24th
day of April 1953, the following special resolution was
passed:

“ That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
EDWARD JOHN LITTLER, of Cambridge, Public Accountant, be
appointed liquidator.”

KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be
enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court of New
Zealand at Whangarei) that I, WALTER CLYDE BLUCHER, of
Motutangi, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Farmer, now
lately called WALTER CLYDE HOUSHAM do hereby for and on
behalf of myself and my wife and my children and remoter
issue absolutely renounce and abandon the use of my former
surname of HOUSHAM, and in lieu thereof do assume and
adopt the surname of BLUCHER, so that I and my wife and my
children and remoter issue may henceforth be called and known
not by my former surname of HOUSHAM but by my assumed
surname of BLUCHER; and for the purpose of evidencing such
change I hereby declare that I shall at all times henceforth
in all actions and proceedings, dealings and transactions, and
upon all occasions use and subscribe the said surname of
BLUCHER in lieu of my former surname of HOUSHAM; and I
hereby expressly authorize and request all persons at all
times henceforth to designate and address me and my wife and
my children and remoter issue by my said assumed surname
of BLUCHER accordingly.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my adopted
and substituted name of WALTER CLYDE BLUCHER, this 12th
day of March, 1953.

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY

BOROUGH OF PICTON

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Fire Station Loan 1953, £9,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling
it, the Council of the Borough of Picton, doth hereby resolve
as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of securing the interest and
other charges on a loan of nine thousand pounds (£9,000),
authorized to be raised by the Picton Borough Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing and
converting an existing building into a fire-station, the said
Council hereby pledges a special rate of three-farthings (3d.)
in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property
within the Borough of Picton, which if required shall be
appropriated as security for the purpose of the payment of
interest and principal of the said loan; and that such rate
shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each
and every year during the currency of the said loan.’’

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at
a meeting of the Picton Borough Council held on the 16th day
of April 1953.

HOTEL MIDLAND, LIMITED

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the
matter of HOTEL MIDLAND, LIMITED.

AT a special general meeting of members of the above-
named company, duly convened and held at the registered
office of the company, 8 Perry Street, Masterton, on Tuesday,
the 21st day of April 1953, the following special resolution
was duly passed:

‘‘That the company be wound up voluntarily.’’

At the said meeting CAMPBELL SUTHERLAND, of Masterton,
Accountant, was appointed liquidator for the purposes of such
winding-up.

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Feilding
Borough Council hereby further resolves as follows:

‘‘That for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on the Water-supply Loan of £35,000 (1952),
authorized to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of replacing and
improving sections of the main water-supply pipe-line, the
said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes and levies a rate
of one penny and one hundred and thirty-three thousandths
of a penny (1.133d.) in the pound upon the rateable value
(on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property
within the Borough of Feilding: and that such special rate be
an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.’’

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of
the Feilding Borough Council held on the 16th day of April
1953.

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Feilding
Borough Council hereby further resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on the loan of £4,500, authorized to be raised by the
Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of providing a system for the disposal of drainage
from the Feilding saleyards and constructing a drainage
outfall the said Feilding Borough Council here makes and
levies a special rate of two hundred and three thousandths of
a penny (0.203d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the
basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property within
the Borough of Feilding: and that such special rate be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a
period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Feilding Borough Council held on the 17th day of February
1953.
