Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936, Urenui Development Scheme

Pursuant to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 28th day of September 1939, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 124 of the 5th day of October 1939, at page 2659, whereby the said land was declared to be subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936.

Result of Poll

Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Gisborne, taken on the 28th day of February 1953, on proposals to borrow the sum of £137,000 for the purpose of replacing the William Pettie and Roebuck Road Bridges and meeting part of the cost of erecting bridges at Lytton Road and Owen Road; £30,000 for the purpose of purchasing land for a civic centre and municipal building site; £120,000 for the purpose of widening, reconstructing, metalling, sealing, and kerbing and channelling streets, constructing and paving footways, and providing for the disposal of stormwater, the following votes were recorded—
