Average Price for Apples and Pears for the 1952-53 Season
IN accordance with section 16 (1) of the Apple and Pear Marketing Act 1948, I hereby declare the average price of apples and pears for the 1952-53 season to be 12s. 2.44d. per case, non-wrapped.

Amending Open Seasons for Imported Game and/or Native Game in Certain Acclimatization Districts
Pursuant to the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22 the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby amends the notice dated 11 February 1953 and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 26 February 1953, at page 260, as set forth hereunder:-
MARLBOROUGH ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT By deleting— ' Grey, spoonbill, mallard, and paradise 2 May to 24 duck May incl. ' Black swan and pukeko 2 May to 31 May incl.' By substituting— ' Grey, spoonbill, mallard, paradise duck, 2 May to 24 black swan, and pukeko May incl.'
SOUTHERN LAKES ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT By deleting— ' Californian quail and chukar 30 May to 31 July incl.' By substituting— ' Californian quail and chukar 2 May to 31 July incl.'
WHANGAREI ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT By adding— Excepted Area :- ' (19) Property of M. E. Jones: Area, 480 acres. SPECIAL ORDER ' That sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act 1920, shall not apply to the Taranaki County Council.' We hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings at a special meeting of the Council held on the 2nd day of February 1953, which resolution was duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting held on the 2nd day of March 1953; and that the resolution was passed by way of Special Order of which public notice was given in the Taranaki Herald newspaper on the 7th and 24th February 1953.

Development Works to be Undertaken by the Crown on Land in a Kauri-gum District
Pursuant to section 11 of the Kauri-gum Industry Act 1908, it is hereby notified that development works have been or are to be undertaken by the Crown on the Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto, being land within a kauri-gum district.
SCHEDULE NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT ALL that area situated in Blocks I and II, Kai-iwi, and Blocks I, V, VI, IX, X, and XI, Kaihu Survey Districts, containing approximately 13,850 acres. Also all that area situated in Block IV, Waoku, Blocks XIII and XIV, Omapere, and Blocks I and II, Punakitere Survey Districts, containing approximately 9,200 acres. Also all that area situated in Block X, Purua Survey District, containing approximately 2,050 acres. Also Sections 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, and 30, Block II, Purua Survey District: Area, 1,107 acres 3 roods 18 perches, more or less. Also Sections 10, 11, 12, and 13, Block IX, and Sections 6, 9, and 10, Block XIII, Rangaunu Survey District, and Sections 5, 6, and 7, Block IV, and Section 3, Block VIII, Mangonui Survey District: Area, 2,248 acres and 6 perches, more or less. Also all that area situated in Blocks VII and VIII, Kerikeri Survey District, containing approximately 3,750 acres. As the same are shown on the plans marked L. and S. 22/684 A, B, C, D, and E, respectively, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Housing Purposes in Block XIV, Belmont Survey District
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Lower Hutt and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land required to be taken :- A. R. P. Being 0 0 2-5 Part Section 19, Hutt District; coloured orange. 0 0 2-5 Part Subdivision 19 of Section 19, Hutt District; coloured blue. Situated in Block XIV, Belmont Survey District. In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 135686, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
