- That the first meeting of the Council of the said
borough shall be held on Tuesday, the 19th day of May 1953,
at 8 p.m., in the Council Chambers at Glen Eden. - That the constitution of the said borough shall be
deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations
Act 1933.
SCHEDULE
BOROUGH OF GLEN EDEN
ALL that area of approximately 1244.5 acres in the North
Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at
a point on the southern side of the North Auckland Main
Trunk Railway, being the eastern corner of Section 98, Waari
Hamlet, and running easterly generally along the southern
side aforesaid, to and along the north-western side of the
area of 1 rood and 33.58 perches taken for railway by
Proclamation published in New Zealand Gazette No. 79 of
the 13th day of December 1945, page 1535, and along a right
line from the northern corner of the area taken as aforesaid,
to the angle in the southern boundary of the area of 19.02
perches taken for road-diversion by the aforesaid Proclamation;
thence along the southern boundary of the said area of
19.02 perches, to and along the northern side of Station Road
for a distance of 894.29 links, and along a right line bearing
54° 43' distant 722.3 links across Allotment 248, Parish of
Waikomiti, to and along the north-western side of Eden
View Road, and a right line, being that side produced across
the Great North Road to and along its north-eastern side to
the south-eastern side of Sabulite Road; thence along the
south-eastern side aforesaid to the western corner of Allot-
ment 230 of Waikomiti Parish aforesaid; thence south-
easterly generally along the south-western boundary of
Allotment 230 aforesaid, and along the south-western boundaries
of Allotments 232, 233, and 221 of the aforsaid
parish, and a right line, being the production of the last-
mentioned boundary to the middle of Archibald Road; thence
southerly generally along the middle of Archibald Road
aforesaid and a right line, being its production across Great
North Road, to and along its south-western side, to and along
the south-eastern side of the West Coast Road to the south-
western corner of Lot 19 as shown on the plan deposited in
the Auckland Land Registry under No. 21448, being Allotment
163, Waikomiti Parish aforesaid; thence along the south-
western boundary of the aforesaid Lot 19 and the south-western
boundary of Allotment 162 of Waikomiti Parish aforsaid
to the North Auckland Main Trunk Railway; and thence
along the right lines across the aforesaid railway bearing
107° 57' distant 247.16 links, bearing 71° 16' 50" distant
120.83 links, bearing 198° 01' distant 72.27 links and bear-
ing 108° 01' distant 413.46 links, to the north-eastern corner
of Lot 22 on the plan numbered 20071 deposited as aforesaid,
being part Allotment 159, Parish of Waikomiti; thence
along the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Lot 22,
the abutment of Liverpool Street, and the south-eastern
boundaries of Lots 23, 24, 25, and 26 on the aforesaid plan
numbered 20071, being parts of the aforesaid Allotment
159; thence along the aforesaid south-western boundary and
a right line being its production to the middle of Fruitvale
Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of Fruitvale
Road aforesaid to its intersection with the alignment of the
north-eastern side of Croydon Road; thence along a right
line across Croydon Road aforesaid to and along the north-
western boundary of Lot 3 on the plan lodged in the Auckland
Deeds Registry under No. 232, being part of Allotments
140 and 139 of the aforesaid Waikomiti Parish, along the
north-western boundary of Lot 1 on the plan numbered 34607
deposited as aforesaid, being part of the aforesaid Allotment
139; along the north-western boundaries generally of Lot 6
on the plan numbered 32381 deposited as aforesaid, being
part of Allotment 139 and 138 of the aforesaid Parish, the
north-western boundary of another part Allotment 138 afore-
said to and along the north-western boundaries of Lots 12,
11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 on the plan deposited as
aforesaid under number 38865, and Lots 8, 7, 6, 5 4, 3, 2,
and 1 on the plan deposited as aforesaid under No. 33070,
the aforesaid lots being parts of Allotments 137 and 136
of the aforesaid Waikomiti Parish, to an angle in Pleasant
Road; thence along a right line across Pleasant Road aforesaid
to the opposite angle, and along its south-western side
to the northern corner of Allotment 127 of the aforesaid
Waikomiti Parish; thence westerly generally along the
northern boundary of the aforesaid Allotment 127, the
northern boundaries of Lots 11 and 4 on the plan numbered
36929 deposited as aforesaid, being parts of Allotment 49,
Waikomiti Parish, Lot 1, on the plan numbered 33362 deposited
as aforesaid, being part Allotment 49 of the said parish,
the eastern boundaries of Lots 161, 160, and 159 on the plan
numbered 23633 deposited as aforesaid, being parts of Allot-
ment 50 of the said parish, the northern boundary of Lot
159 aforesaid, a right line across Withers Road, to and
along the northern boundaries of Lots 1, 5, and 6 on the
plan numbered 20510 deposited as aforesaid, being parts of
the aforesaid Allotment 50, along the northern boundaries of
Lots 70, 71, and 72 on the plan numbered 8736 deposited as
aforesaid, being parts of Allotment 119 of the said parish,
to and along the south-western boundary of the last-
mentioned Lot 72, to and along the north-western boundaries
of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, on the plan numbered 8368 deposited
as aforesaid, being parts of Allotments 118 and 117 of the
aforesaid parish, to the north-eastern corner of Lot 6 on
the aforesaid plan numbered 8368, being part of the said
Allotment 117; thence along the northern boundary of Lot
6 aforesaid, and a right line, being its production to the
middle of Hillcrest Road; thence along the middle of
Hillcrest Road and the middle of the public road forming
the eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 on the plan numbered
28402 deposited as aforesaid, being parts of Allotments 11
and 133 of Waikomiti Parish aforesaid, to and along the
middle of View Road to a point in line with the north-western
boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid; thence along a right line to
and along the north-western boundary of the aforesaid Lot 1
to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 112 of the said
parish; thence northerly generally along the eastern boundary
of the said Allotment 112, and the eastern boundaries of
Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Allotment 15 of the said parish to the
middle of the western end of View Road; thence along the
middle of View Road aforesaid to a point in line with the
eastern boundary of Allotment 114 of the aforesaid parish,
and along a right line to and along the eastern and northern
boundaries of that Allotment to and along the eastern boundary
of Lot 4 as shown on the plan lodged in the Auckland Deeds
Registry under No. 269, and along a right line, being the
production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of
the West Coast Road; thence westerly generally along the
middle of the aforesaid road to a point in line with the
western boundary of Lot 17 on the plan numbered 17808
deposited as aforesaid; thence northerly generally along a
right line to and along the western boundaries of Lot 17
aforesaid, Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 37752
deposited as aforesaid and Lots 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25,
26, and 27 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 17808
to the centre of a stream; the aforesaid lots all being part
of Allotment 14 of Waikomiti Parish; thence up the centre
of that stream to a point in line with the south-eastern
boundary of Section 98, Waari Hamlet; thence along a right
line to and along the aforesaid south-eastern boundary to the
eastern corner of the aforesaid Section 98, the point of
commencement.

Avenue, Milton Street, Moore Street, an Extension of
Stephen Street, Thackeray Street, Tennyson Street, Keats
Street, Byron Street, Sheridan Crescent in the
Borough of Upper Hutt, Subject to Conditions as to the
Building-lines

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of
March 1953
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations
Amendment Act 1948, and section 125 of the Public
Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby authorizes the Upper Hutt Borough Council to permit
the laying-off of the proposed streets described in the Second
Schedule hereto at widths of less than 66 ft. but not less than
60 ft., 52 ft., and 50 ft. as shown on the plan described in
the Second Schedule hereto, subject to the condition that no
building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on
Lots 184, 309, and 310 of a subdivision of the land shown
edged green upon the said plan, fronting the proposed streets
within the distances of 35 ft. and 40 ft. from the centre-lines
of the adjoining streets as shown in detail on the said plan
or on the Lots of the said subdivision described in the First
Schedule hereto within a distance of 15 ft., from the boundaries
specified in the said First Schedule, or on the said Lots
specified in the First Schedule hereto within a distance of
48 ft. from the centre-lines of the streets fronting the boun-
daries not specified in the First Schedule hereto, or on the
balance of the Lots of the said subdivision within a distance
of 48 ft. from the centre-lines of the said streets.
FIRST SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES of the Lots in respect of which the building-line
conditions shall be 15 ft. from the boundary-line:
Lot 1, Eastern boundary. Lot 306, Western boundary.
Lot 7, Western boundary. Lot 326, Southern boundary.

of Stephen Street, Thackeray Street, Tennyson Street, Keats
Street, Byron Street, Sheridan Crescent, containing by
admeasurement 17 acres 30 perches, more or less, being part
Sections 91, 92, and 93, Hutt District.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 139745, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
