HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Point Howard Fire Station Loan, 1952 (£2,800)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £2,800, authorized to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a fire-station for the Point Howard Fire Brigade, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-two one-hundredths of a penny (22/100d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Eastern Bays Riding of the County of Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Hutt County Council held at Wellington on the 26th day of February 1953.

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 4th day of March 1953, the above-mentioned company, by an entry in its minute-book made by virtue of section 300 of the Companies Act 1933, the following resolution was passed as an extraordinary resolution:—

“ 1. That the company be wound up voluntarily as a creditors’ winding-up.
“ 2. That Mr. N. BARCLAY, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

This resolution was approved by a meeting of creditors held on the 12th day of March 1953 pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act 1933, notice of said meeting having been publicised and circulated to creditors.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Construction and Improvement Supplementary Loan, £8,300, 1952

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the One Tree Hill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,300, authorized to be raised by the One Tree Hill Borough Council under the above-mentioned act for streets construction, the said One Tree Hill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of halfpenny (½d.) in the pound (£) (on the basis of the annual value) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of One Tree Hill; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR FOREST PLANTATION PURPOSES

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the statutory powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and the Public Works Act 1928 the Balclutha Borough Council proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for forest plantation purposes.

Any person objecting to the taking of the said land or to the planting of the same for forest-plantation purposes must lodge his or her objection in writing at the offices of the Balclutha Borough Council, Clyde Street, Balclutha, within forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

A copy of the plan showing the area of land proposed to be taken is deposited in the office of the Balclutha Borough Council, Clyde Street, Balclutha, and may be inspected there at any time during office hours.
