Waterfront Industry Emergency Regulations 1946, Amendment
No. 10--Appointment of Wanganui Port Conciliation
Committee

Pursuant to the Waterfront Industry Emergency Regulations 1946, Amendment No. 10, the Minister of Labour
both hereby appoint the following persons to be the Port
Conciliation Committee for the Port of Wanganui for a term
expiring on 28th day of February 1954:-

Geoffrey Guy Burgess, Jack Francis Millward, and Charles
Sydney Smith (nominated by New Zealand Port
Employers' Association, Incorporated) and Ernest

Commissioner of Police and Assistant Commissioner Appointed

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to

Assistant Commissioner Eric Henry Compton,
to be Commissioner of Police in terms of section 3 of the

Superintendent Percy James Nalder,
to be Assistant Commissioner of Police in terms of section 2
of the Police Force Amendment Act 1951, the appointment
in each case to take effect on and from 11 March 1953.

Pursuant to section 47 of the Judicature Act 1908, the
Right Honourable Sir Humphrey Francis O'Leary,
K.C.M.G., has this day appointed
Malcolm Halkeston MacDougal, Esquire, of London,
England,
to be a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand
in London for the purpose of administering and taking all
such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as mentioned in the
said section.
