Authorizing the Laying-off of an Extension of Pharazyn Street in the City of Lower Hutt, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1948 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Lower Hutt City Council to lay-off the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plans marked P.W.D. 138590 and P.W.D. 139720, referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 33 ft. from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Wellington Land District, City of Lower Hutt, being an extension of Pharazyn Street, containing by admeasurement, firstly, 1 rood 3Β·18 perches, more or less, being Lot 2, D.P. 16044, being part Section 28, Hutt District, and secondly, 1 acre and 8Β·12 perches, more or less, being Lot 6 on a plan lodged for deposit in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 16593, being part Section 75, Hutt District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plans marked P.W.D. 138590 and P.W.D. 139720, respectively, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Pursuant to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Masterton County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 1 acre 0 roods 19 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Lot 1, D.P. 11805, and Lot 2, D.P. 14606, being part Section 524, Whareama Registration District.
Situated in Block I, Rewa Survey District. (S.O. 22096.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 134135, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Licensing Authority Appointed Under the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Amendment Act 1920

Conferring on Kaikoura County Council Certain Powers of Borough Councils with Respect to Drainage, Sanitation, and Water-supply

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 182 of the Counties Act 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby confers on the Kaikoura County Council all the powers with respect to drainage, sanitation, and the supply of water for domestic or industrial purposes exercisable by a duly constituted borough council under sections 82 to 84, 86 to 88, section 91, Part XIX, Part XX (with the exception of sections 251, 253, and 254), and section 346 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, and also section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1938, but subject to the restriction that such powers shall be exercisable only over that portion of the County of Kaikoura described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
ALL that area comprising the Kaikoura Township Water-supply Special Rating Area, being a portion of the Peninsula and Suburban Ridings of the County of Kaikoura and being all that land in the Marlborough Land District situated in Block XI, Mount Fyffe Survey District, and the Town of Kaikoura bounded as follows: Commencing on the sea-coast at Mill Road; thence westerly by Mill Road to the north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 57; thence southerly by the western boundary of that lot to Lyell Stream, and by Lyell Stream to Ludstone Road; thence westerly by Ludstone Road to the north-western boundary of Section 204, Kaikoura Suburban; thence southerly by the west boundaries of Sections 204, 206, and 207, Kaikoura Suburban, to the south-west corner of the latter Section; thence easterly by the south boundary of the said Section 207 to the Town of Fernleigh; thence southerly by the west boundary of that town to the south-west corner of Section 37 thereof; thence easterly by the south boundary of the said Section 37 to Killarney Road and by Killarney Road to Scarborough Street; thence southerly by Scarborough Street to the south-west corner of Section 248, Town of Kaikoura; thence easterly by the south boundaries of sections 248 and 368 of said Town to Torquay Street; thence southerly and easterly by Torquay Street and the Beach Road or Esplanade to Lot B, Town of Kaikoura; thence southerly by the west boundaries of Lot B, Sections 95, 97, 99, 101, 103, Lot A, across Ward Street, Sections 105, 107, 109, 111, 113, 115, and 117 of said Town to Lot 5, Town of Kaikoura Extension No. 2; thence easterly by the boundaries of the last-mentioned town to a point in transit with the western edge of the Old Kaikoura Wharf; thence southerly, easterly, and northerly by that wharf to the sea-coast; and thence in a northern direction generally by the sea-coast to Mill Road the point of commencement, including within the above described boundaries the New Kaikoura Wharf.

Dissolving Manawatu-Oroua River Board

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Whereas, pursuant to section 8 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act 1946, a petition was presented to His Excellency the Governor-General by the Manawatu Catchment Board praying that the Manawatu-Oroua River Board be dissolved and that the powers and functions thereof be transferred to the Manawatu Catchment Board:
And whereas objections were lodged to the proposal contained in the said petition and a Commission was appointed to hold an inquiry and make a report upon the subject matter of the said petition:
And whereas the Commission so appointed has reported that the prayer of the petition should be granted subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions by the Manawatu Catchment Board:
And whereas those conditions have now been fulfilled and it is deemed expedient to give effect to the prayer of the petition:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act 1946, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that as on and from the 1st day of April 1953 the Manawatu-Oroua River Board shall be dissolved, and that the powers and functions thereof shall be transferred to the Manawatu Catchment Board.
