WAIHI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waihi Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Waihi Borough Council under the above Act, for the purpose of purchasing land and dwelling for a worker’s dwelling, the said Waihi Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one half-penny (½d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value on the basis of the annual value of all rateable property in the Borough of Waihi; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Council held on the 15th day of December 1952.

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Council held on the 15th day of December 1952.
