WAIRoa COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Companies Act 1920 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wairoa County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work—namely, a road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situated in Queen Street, Wairoa, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

NOTICE OF LIQUIDATION

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 222 (1) of the Companies Act 1933, that on Monday, 1 December 1952, the following special resolutions were passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the company:—

(1) That the company be wound up voluntarily.
(2) That Mr. BRIAN LEONARD SWAN, Public Accountant, Auckland, be and is hereby appointed liquidator.

NEW LYNN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roading Reconstruction Loan, 1950

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the New Lynn Borough Council hereby resolved as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the New Lynn Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for road reconstruction purposes the said New Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal four seven five (·475) pence in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of New Lynn, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NEW LYNN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Extension and Water-supply Reconstruction Loan, 1950

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the New Lynn Borough Council hereby resolved as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £25,400, authorized to be raised by the New Lynn Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for sewerage-extension and water-supply-reconstruction purposes, the said New Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal five two five pence (·525d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of New Lynn; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY

NOTICE is hereby given that THE AUSTRALASIAN TRADING COMPANY, LIMITED, has changed its name to A. J. HOLLANDER (NEW ZEALAND), LIMITED, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

BURCH AND COMPANY (NEW PLYMOUTH), LIMITED

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of BURCH AND COMPANY (NEW PLYMOUTH) LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, dated the 27th day of November 1952, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £18,000 to £5,000 and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company, as altered, the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act was registered by the Registrar of Companies at New Plymouth on the 3rd day of December 1952. The said minute is in the words and figures following:—

“The capital of the company is £5,000 divided into 3,000 ordinary shares of £1 each and 2,000 preference shares of £1 each. At the time of the registration of this minute the full sum of £1 per share has been and is to be deemed to be paid up on each of the said shares of £1 each. The holders for the time being of the preference shares shall be entitled to: (a) A fixed cumulative preferential dividend of six pounds per centum per annum of the amount for the time being paid up on the preference shares held by them respectively; (b) Repayment of capital on a winding-up in priority to the ordinary shareholders.”

LOST SHARE CERTIFICATE

APPLICATION has been made to the above company to issue a new certificate of title to Shares Nos. 2809458 to 2809482, both inclusive, in lieu of original certificate No. 8643, issued in the name of EDWARD PATRICK LANIGAN (now deceased) and the executrix LINDA MARIA LANIGAN, of Birkenhead, Auckland, has made a statutory declaration that the original certificate of title to the shares has been lost.

Notice is hereby given that unless within thirty days from the date hereof there is made to the company some claim or representation in respect of the said original certificate, a new certificate will be issued in the place thereof.
