Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block X, Waiwera Survey District,
for Road
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public
work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of
such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the
land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Silverdale
and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by
the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said
land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution
of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth
the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the
first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken : 11·15
perches.
Being part middle and northern portions of Allotment 264, Parish of
Pukeatua.
Situated in Block X, Waiwera Survey District (Auckland R.D.).
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 138588, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.

Revoking a Warrant Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality
and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the
Purposes of the Transport Act 1949 Section 36
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister
of Transport hereby revokes that Warrant dated the 30th
day of July 1940* which declared an area situated within the Waihemo
County to be a closely populated locality and hereby declares the area
described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality
for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving
any motor-vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum
speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Waihemo County :—
All that area adjacent to Palmerston consisting of—
(1) The Timaru-Dunedin State Highway No. 59 (all that portion
commencing at its intersection with the eastern boundary
of Palmerston Borough and terminating at a point 16
chains measured in a north-easterly direction from the
commencing point);
(2) The Palmerston-Bushey Main Highway No. 288 (all that
portion commencing at its junction with the Timaru-
Dunedin State Highway No. 59 and terminating at a
point 10 chains measured in a northerly direction from
the commencing point).

    Declaring Trailer Units Forming Part of a Multi-axled Motor
    Vehicle to be Trailers
    PURSUANT to subsection (1) of section 2 of the Transport Act
    1949, the Minister of Transport hereby determines that the
    vehicles specified in the Schedule hereto, forming part of multi-
    axled vehicles as defined by section 2 of the said Act, shall be deemed
    to be trailers.

    Sale of Unclaimed Property

    IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the
    Police at Auckland, Hamilton, Napier, Palmerston North,
    Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill
    Stations will, if not claimed before Saturday, 13 December 1952,
    be sold thereafter by public auction.
